Sea of Monsters: Epiloge

She steps through the door and then all is darkness as she and the bar fade....

She's not awake...not exactly. She's not dreaming...yet still voices intrude on her...darkness.

"It healed the tree. And poison was not the only thing it purged."

"It... she ...just suddenly there ..."

Some part of her recognizes the voices, especially the second voice which belonged to a girl...her best friend? Her sister? Why's it...dark?

"Percy, wait!" the deep male voice calls. And she...hears? feet land on the...ground?

"It's true. I can't believe ..." Another voice she remembers...Grover? Excitement builds though she still hasn't quite realized she has a body. He's alive!

She feels a touch on her...forehead.

"She needs nectar and ambrosia," another new voice says as (he?) lifts her by the shoulders. "Come on! What's wrong with you people? Let's get her to the Big House."

She remembers her lungs then and takes a breath. Coughing. Darkness? She realizes her eyes are closed so she blinks them open to see a field of grass below the hill they sit on and the boy holding her up. They are surrounded by other kids but she only sees her sister's blond hair and the centaur. They're alive! She feels the pine tree behind her; familiar and comforting.

"Wi..." she starts to say thinking she recognizes the boy holding her but the memory tears and is gone like a soap bubble. "Who–"

"I'm Percy," the boy says. "You're safe now."

"Strangest dream ..." she says still dazed. Had she hit her head?

"It's okay."

"Dying."

"No," he assured her. "You're okay. What's your name?"

"I am Thalia," she said. "Daughter of Zeus."
